EBEC (European BEST Engineering Competition) is an European-wide engineering competition organised by 88 universities in Europe.

Teams that are composed of 4 students from technology fields, regardless of status of their degree, are challenged to solve the tasks that are provided by organizers or companies. EBEC project begins functioning every year by the first Local EBEC Round; afterwards moving onwards with National/Regional EBEC Rounds and the winners of the National/Regional rounds compete in EBEC Final. EBEC Ankara is being organised by Local BEST Group Ankara since 2008 and 11th edition will be organised this year. The competition consists of Team Design and Case Study.

Team Design (TD) is a practical challenge that requires design, creation and presentation of a prototype model that can successfully meet specific construction and operation criteria, all done in a limited amount of time and through the use of limited resource materials.

Case Study (CS) is a theoretical problem-solving challenge. Its solution requires the analysis, creation and presentation of a technological solution for a current engineering, economic and social problem, all within a limited amount of time and resources.
